Complementary Therapies

Sometimes taking the path to recovery can feel like leaving a hole in your life.

When substance abuse has been a big part of your identity, filling that hole with new healthy activities can help to ensure long term results.

Many patients also find the distraction that complementary therapies offer a welcome break from this sometimes-difficult process of addiction therapy. It is a fun, healthy, and stimulating way to take some time for yourself.

This is why Faith Recovery Center offers so many complementary therapy options.

Individualized Complementary Therapies at Faith Recovery Beverly Hills, CA

Some of our patients already know which of our complementary therapies they would like to try.

However, if you or your loved one are not sure which ones you might enjoy, our team can help.

They are well versed in matching individuals with programs that will be the most beneficial - even if it might not be something you would ordinarily choose. Sometimes taking yourself out of your comfort zone can have a big impact.

Physical Therapy (GYM)

Physical therapy in the Faith Recovery Center Gym Is a great way to get fitter and healthier, and a healthy way to work through frustrations. Sweating and training in the gym gives many patients the time they need to work through other parts of their therapy.

Boxing Therapy

Learning to process feelings in healthy ways is a big part of addiction therapy. Some of our patients find that processing those feelings into a boxing bag helps them to cope with the mental and physical challenges of recovery.

Massage Therapy

If sweating it out in the gym or taking your frustrations out on a boxing bag doesn't work, then maybe a massage from a professional therapist will help. Sometimes you just need to take some personal time to relax and rejuvenate.

NAD+ Therapy?

NAD+ therapy, also known as nicotinamide adenine dinucleotide involves treating patients with a naturally occurring enzyme of niacin, which is believed to assist in repairing the body’s cells and DNA. When people abuse substances, their NAD reserves can be depleted, and this therapy helps to return them to healthy levels.

Family Therapy

Family therapy has helped many families overcome addiction in their family members. This type of therapy allows family members to express their emotions, thoughts, and feelings about the addiction.

Yoga Therapy

Yoga is a fantastic way to tone your body and your mind. Many of the patients at Faith Recovery Center find yoga therapy to be the perfect way to stay centred as they move through the recovery process.

Art Therapy

The healing power of art is well known. It is a great way to express your feelings and to work through complex emotions. Patients at Faith Recovery Center Have full access to professionally led art therapy classes and all the supplies they need.

Reiki Therapy

Reiki is a new age healing therapy that might not be for everyone. However, those who do try it often find that it helps to calm them during the recovery process.
